The Story Behind The Sticker

  Cycling to me is more than a hobby, it’s my lifestyle. I live to endure and enjoy through the good and the bad of the sport. For me cycling also makes my life so much happier. It helps prove to myself that I can achieve great things, and has introduced me to some of the best people on this planet. The  comradery   of our sport is awesome, from your weekend warrior to you everyday racer. We all can share our improvements together and encourage one another. It seems every race I go to I meet someone new. From all these people a cycling family is formed consisting of teammates, friends, and their families.  This cycling family is always there for you.    My cycling family helped me through the biggest loss of my life, which was just this last fall in november of 2016.  My wife and I were 24 weeks into an our 2nd pregnancy when we received some life changing news. We walked in for a normal checkup, and a few hours later ended up at UC Davis going through multiple tests. Later

A CYCLING TEAM IS BIGGER THAN THE ROSTER

W hen most people see my pictures on social media, the first thing that comes to mind is the hard work and time serious cyclists like myself invest into our passion for riding and racing our bike. What most people don’t see or realize is the hours of support our families and friends put into helping us succeed. Without this support, it would make racing at our level impossible. I mean, who shows up to a bike race that is 4 hours long in the 100-degree heat and says, “Hey I’ll stand in a lonely feed zone and wait for you to come by once or twice.” It’s not just hours of standing around either, they are constantly thinking of how to help their racer become better. R acing for us is a family event we look forward to every week. And the more family that is present, the more fun racing is. We all work toward a goal of me performing at my best and succeeding for our team and sponsors. Having a family that is so involved in my sport helps keep me grounded and motivated to always give
